Fabriano is a small town in the province of Ancona, surrounded by the hills and mountains of the Umbria-Marches Apennines. It is located in a valley crossed by the Giano River, which then joins the Esino river in a very verdant hillside.

This town was quite famous in the past for ironworking, then for its master papermakers. A small city, but rich in history, traditions and beautiful historical buildings.

The medieval old town is arranged around the triangular Piazza del Comune where you can find the octagonal Sturinalto fountain (1285) in the center. The same square is overlooked by some of the city’s most important buildings: the Palazzo Podestà, the Palazzo del Comune and the Loggiato di San Francesco. The experience of getting lost in these narrow streets is simply enchanting.
